We had a go at laying a new drive across the front of 34 Yaxham Road.
Simple in principle - dig it out, lay fabric, lay hard core, compact it and dress with clean gravel.

Pile of concrete after breaking up the old slab outside the front door before collection by a grab lorry.

Martin on the digger before Sarah took over and demoted him to the wheelbarrow.

5 tonnes of (recycled) crushed concrete looks like this - wonder if we got any of our concrete back?

Recycle the old gravel? Too dirty.
What we need is a machine to sift it (before washing it).
We built this from roller skate wheels and plastic crates from the fruit and veg shop.
